Power County Transfer Trail
A three-day search often crosses systems. If a felony defendant disappears after sentencing, read the iCourt judgment or commitment before calling the event a release. Then search IDOC by name and birth year or IDOC number. An “In custody” result with a prison or county physical location supports continued state custody. An “In community” result with parole or probation rows supports community supervision, while a historical “Discharged” date supports the end of IDOC jurisdiction.
Newly sentenced people may not appear in state results at once. In that gap, contact the jail or IDOC Records Information rather than drawing a conclusion from two blank searches. If detention reports a transfer, ask for the receiving authority or releasable destination field. Continue with the named facility, BOP, or ICE channel when the facts point there. The accurate statement may be that the person left Power County custody by transfer, not that the person was released to the community.
Power County Three-Day Archive
The Power County Current Bookings roster contains no released tab, 72-hour filter, date-range control, or public archive. Research of the roster, county pages, and site map found no official substitute as of the source review. Calling the live roster a three-day release list would misstate what it records.
The timestamped list answers who appears booked now. It does not preserve people who left during the prior three days. Its individual detail shows the booking side of the record, including identity, incarceration time, charges, case number, bail, and photo, but supplies no out date or release reason.
Build Power County Release Chronology
Start by fixing the exact 72-hour period, including local date and time. This avoids an uncertain phrase such as “over the weekend.” Preserve any prior booking number and case number because those identifiers make the sheriff and court requests more precise.
- Record the current roster timestamp and search all known name forms.
- Check the person in Idaho VINELink for a reported release or transfer event.
- Call detention at 208-226-2311 for present custody, understanding that further details may be confidential.
- Search iCourt for orders, minutes, bond, judgment, dismissal, or commitment during the period.
- Request the sheriff's existing booking and release record for the bounded dates.
- If a transfer appears, continue with IDOC, the receiving jail, BOP, or ICE as the facts require.
This method is slower than a ready-made feed, yet it distinguishes a community release from continued custody elsewhere. The distinction matters most after sentencing or when another authority has a hold.
Power County 72-Hour Fields
The desired three-day list fields are not displayed together online. Ask for existing records, not a new narrative. The county records request page links the current form and explains the route for a specific request.
| Field | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Full name and booking number | Matches the correct jail episode. |
| Incarceration date and time | Defines the start of the local stay. |
| Actual release date and time | Places the exit inside or outside the 72-hour window. |
| Release type or authority | Separates bond, order, time served, completion, dismissal, and other events. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows whether the person entered the community or another custody system. |
| Case and charge identifiers | Connects the jail event to court chronology. |
Ask for electronic delivery, accept lawful redaction, and request an estimate. Juvenile, sealed, safety-sensitive, investigative, and private material may be withheld. If the county is not the custodian, its written response may identify the correct office.
Weekend Power County Release Delays
A court authorization, jail processing step, roster removal, and VINE alert do not necessarily occur at one time. A judge may sign an order before detention staff complete the exit. VINE depends on a reporting feeder. The roster appears to change within a day but has no published update interval. Around weekends and holidays, court document access or records-office responses may also arrive later than the event.
Use an “as of” time with every status statement. If a court order falls inside the 72-hour window but the person remains on Current Bookings, describe the order and the current listing separately. If the roster is blank but VINE reports a transfer, call it a transfer rather than community release.
The official jail page is shown below. It links current bookings and provides local bond and custody information, not a retrospective list.
The page confirms why the three-day search must move beyond the live booking roster.
Interpret Power County Release Results
A bond order ends confinement only after processing and does not end the pending case. A dismissal applies to the matter described in the order, while other cases or holds may remain. Time served means the confinement credit set by the court has been met, though probation, fines, or another matter can continue. A transfer is not a release into the community.
- Release record
- The jail's record of the actual exit, type, and sometimes destination.
- Disposition
- The court's recorded outcome or action in a case.
- Detainer
- A request or authority that can keep custody in place or cause transfer.
- Discharge
- An endpoint of a sentence or agency jurisdiction, stronger than release to supervision.
For an Idaho state case, search the IDOC Resident/Client Search. “In community” can mean parole or probation and does not mean the sentence ended. Read the physical location and sentence rows. A historical “Discharged” result supports the end of IDOC jurisdiction, while “Released to Supervision” marks community placement under supervision.
Power County Records After Release
iCourt may outlast the jail roster and explain why custody ended. Use the case number from a former booking detail when available. Look for a bond or release order, judgment, probation entry, dismissal, commitment, or later satisfaction entry. Portal data is not the same as a certified order, and a docket may not record the physical exit time.
A narrow sheriff request should identify the person, date of birth if known, booking number, and the three-day date range. Ask for actual release date and time, type or receiving destination, and related booking identifiers. Do not ask the agency to decide what happened if no such narrative exists.
Older records may not remain publicly visible. Idaho Clean Slate shielding can remove qualifying completed cases from public disclosure without destroying the government record. That is one reason a blank portal result should not be filled with data from an unofficial archive.
Compare Power County Release Windows
The Released Last 24 Hours page is best for immediate custody confirmation, VINE lag, transportation, and bond-out questions. This 72-hour route is designed for reconstructing several days from records and court events after a same-day check was missed.
| Window | Best use | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Current roster | Who is listed now | No release archive |
| Last 24 hours | Rapid event verification | Sources may post at different times |
| Last 72 hours | Weekend or missed-event reconstruction | Must assemble records manually |
| Older period | Formal record and court history | Access limits or shielding may apply |
For one named person across all custody types, start at Power County released inmates. Federal and immigration custody use different locators and cannot be resolved from the county roster.
